Carpet Installation

Carpet installation often comes up when buyers purchase a resale rather than new construction home. Whether the current carpet does not match the buyers decor or is simply in need of replacement, we are often asked for flooring recommendations.

Before you head to one of the big box home improvement stores, keep in mind that their selection will be less than that of a store that specializes in ONLY flooring. Big box stores offer a small range of a wide variety of items, making selections within each category relatively limited. By going to a local flooring store, you will not only be exposed to a wider variety of products, but you will often be supporting a locally-owned franchise or personal business!

There are many flooring options in the Charlotte area, and we encourage you to explore the right fit for your needs. Some carpet stores that we have had success with are as follows:

Carpet One: Carpet One has several locally owned franchises within the greater Charlotte metro area. Here you will find a wide variety of flooring options with high quality Shaw, Stainmaster, “Just Shorn” and many other carpet brands.

Carefree Carpet: Carefree Carpet is also an authorized Shaw dealer and has many flooring options including area rugs. With a designer showroom on Monroe Rd., Carefree Carpet also has stores on Idlewild Rd. and in Rock Hill, SC.

Stark Carpet: Stark Carpet features unique, designer collection carpets and rugs. They also sell remnants that can be bound to create area rugs. (11415 Granite Street, Charlotte,NC 28273)

Often individual stores like these can offer better pricing for better quality carpet simply because of the quantity they purchase and the selections they offer.
